Terms of use
These terms cover the FasterChef website and app. Using either means you accept them. They are written plainly on purpose.
What FasterChef does
FasterChef reads public social media posts that you choose to share into it, and turns the recipe in them into structured text you can cook from, plan with, and shop for.
Creators and their recipes
Recipes come from creators. Every imported recipe shows the creator's handle and links back to the original post, and we don't remove that.
Lists of ingredients and plain instructions are generally not protected by copyright, but a creator's photographs, video, and written words are theirs. FasterChef is for your own personal use — it isn't a way to republish somebody else's work. If you're a creator and you want your content excluded, email info@fasterchefapp.com and we'll handle it.
Your account
You need an account to use the app, created through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't use FasterChef to break the law, and don't attempt to overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service.
Subscriptions
FasterChef has a free tier. Plus is a paid subscription, billed through your Apple Account:
- Payment is taken when you confirm the purchase, and again at each renewal until you cancel.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel any time in your Apple Account settings, at least 24 hours before the next renewal.
- Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy — we can't issue them directly.
- Cancelling stops future charges. It doesn't refund the current period, and you keep access until that period ends.
Current prices are always shown in the app before you buy.
What we don't promise
Recipe extraction is automatic, and it isn't perfect. Sometimes the recipe isn't in the caption at all; sometimes a quantity is read wrong. Check the recipe before you cook it, especially where it matters.
FasterChef is not a source of dietary or medical advice. Dietary and allergen filters are a convenience built on automatic matching, and they can be wrong. If you have a serious allergy, read the ingredients yourself, every time. We can't take responsibility for what you cook or eat.
The service is provided as-is. We aim to keep it available and correct, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your recipes, plans, and lists. We may suspend an account that abuses the service or breaks these terms.
Changes
We'll email you before any change that materially affects you. Continuing to use FasterChef after that means you accept the updated terms.
